Configure Notification Channels

Navigate to the /onelist/admin URL then select the Notification Channels tab.

Supported notification channels and supported configurations:

  • For new and updated tasks, below channels can be enabled, and channel specific message templates can be maintained:

    • Android Notification

    • IOS Notification

    • Email Notification

  • For email approvals, below channels can be enabled, and channel specific message templates can be maintained:

    • Email Approval

    • Approval confirmation

  • For recurring notifications, a Task Reminder channel can be enabled.

    • The Task Reminder channel allows the scheduling of recurring notifications with the following attributes:

      • Message Template

      • Frequency

      • Time

      • and Selection Criteria like below screenshot which sends a Task Reminder to the Approvers every Monday at 9am for high priority, leave requests, or 3day old tasks that are still pending their Approval.

Maintaining a notification channel

  • The message template is used for formatting the message in the notification.

  • Only the active channels are used.

  • Default channels are automatically selected for new users.

  • Administrator Only channels are only visible to Administrators.

Change the notification message

The content of the notification message is defined in the message template. 

Click the Edit button to open the template editor. See Authoring Email Templates for more information.

The above template generates the IOS push notification below:

  • The bold text line is generated using the subject of the template;

  • The second text line is generated using the body of the template;
