NEO Deployment to Fiori Launch Pad (SCP Portal Service)

SAP Cloud Platform offers the SAP Cloud Platform Portal service which offers a cloud-hosted Fiori LaunchPad.  Configuring applications built-in IQX AppBuilder are easily added into the Portal to allow consistency between standard, custom and AppBuilder Fiori applications for end-users.

Enabling the Portal Service:

  2. Click on the Services menu item on the left menu bar.

  3. Search or Browser for the Portal service.

  4. If the service is not enabled (does not have the green Enabled badge), click the service to open up the detail view
  5. Click the Enable button
  6. Click the Go to Service link in the detail page
  7. Create a site if one does not exist
  8. Go into WebIDE and deploy your application to the SAP Cloud Platform
  9. Once deployed, Register the application in the SAP Fiori Launchpad
  10. Ensure the Intent is checked

Adding an Application to the Fiori Launchpad

The following steps are very IMPORTANT!!!!

  1. Go into the Portal Configuration.
  2. Select the App you have registered in the launchpad (Sometimes you may need to refresh your browser for the app to show up).
  3. Click on Parameters.
  4. Click Edit at the bottom.
  5. Click the Plus icon next to Intent Parameters.
  6. Add the parameter with the name "FormName" (No quotes).
  7. Leave the value blank for the My Forms and New Forms screen.
  8. Add the AppName as the value if you want a tile to go directly to the application (You may want to create a new app tile for each app you want on the launch pad).

Remember to publish the site again.  There is a little circular icon that should have a yellow indicator at the top of the screen to the right of your username.
