The message template is used for formating the message in the notification;
Only the active channels are used;
Default channels are automatically selected for new users;

Change the notification message
The content of the notification message is defined in the message template.
Click the Edit 
Edit button to open the template editor. Save your changes then click the X or anywhere outside the popup to close it. See Authoring Email Templates for more information.
